Having explored quite a bit of the western world, I've been hoping to travel somewhere east for many years now. In fact, I even wrote in my 2018 goals that I was planning to travel somewhere "east of Poland". My mum had been looking to work in India for a week with her company for quite some time, so when my university said they were running an intercultural program in New Delhi, we decided to make a holiday out of it.
I had a very busy January so I didn't get the chance to write as much as I had wanted to. I came back to uni for a week of assignment deadlines, followed by a week of exams. Luckily, I passed all my exams. The two weeks of stress ended the day of Molly's 19th… Continue reading My Very First Visitors – the Icon Club on Tour
Yesterday was my one year anniversary of writing this blog. I think that's the longest I've ever committed to writing something, so go me!! When I think about what I achieved when I was 18 and in 2017, I can't specifically think of anything. Yes, I reached all new levels of hungover and I finished… Continue reading 2018 Goals
Christmas with my family has always been quite the event. With my mum's maiden name being Jolly, we're extremely into getting in the Christmas spirit. We kicked off Christmas of 2017 with our annual women's brunch. This tradition started about 5 years ago and it grows every year. The women in my family, their friends… Continue reading A Very Jolly Christmas
As tomorrow is officially my 19th birthday, I thought it would be nice to summarise my year as an eighteen year old. I kicked off my 18th birthday with a trip to Tesco with my dad. My only purchase being 2 litre bottles of vodka. Every year, on the Saturday before Christmas, some of the… Continue reading Eighteen in Review
It had been rumoured to start snowing soon for a few days at school. Being a Brit, I wasn't too hopeful, but my inner child couldn't help but get excited at the thought of snow. On Friday morning, I was getting ready for school when I caught a glimpse of something white outside my window.… Continue reading Snow In Utrecht
I came to study on the mainland of Europe, so I would have opportunities to travel easily between various countries. Having been here nearly 3 months, I thought now would be the time to act on that. Last month, my university were offering a trip to Antwerp, Belgium, for €15 so it was an offer I… Continue reading A Day In Antwerp
Ever since my adopted cousin, Ian, moved to England three years ago, my parents have thrown a Thanksgiving dinner for him. We usually celebrate the weekend after the Americans, however, this year it was easiest for us to celebrate a little earlier, on the 11th of November.
I've been waiting for Kelsea's new album pretty much since her first one came out. As I mentioned in my What I'm Listening To post, I saw a video of her performing High School around 2 and a half years ago, and as soon as she said it was going on the second album, I began… Continue reading Review: Kelsea Ballerini’s Unapologetically
I had a week off school for Autumn break and I had originally planned to stay here in the Netherlands. However, when my mum texted me to say that Stockard Channing was in a play running on the West End, we decided it was essential that we went to see it. So last Friday, I… Continue reading Back to Old Blighty (Again)
