As tomorrow is officially my 19th birthday, I thought it would be nice to summarise my year as an eighteen year old. I kicked off my 18th birthday with a trip to Tesco with my dad. My only purchase being 2 litre bottles of vodka. Every year, on the Saturday before Christmas, some of the… Continue reading Eighteen in Review
Ever since my adopted cousin, Ian, moved to England three years ago, my parents have thrown a Thanksgiving dinner for him. We usually celebrate the weekend after the Americans, however, this year it was easiest for us to celebrate a little earlier, on the 11th of November.
I've been writing this blog for over nine months now, but I think I am yet to share anything that gives you much insight into my character. Yes, by now you should have figured out that I love to travel, but I thought it would be nice to answer some questions so my readership (mainly my friends and my mum ha) can get to know me a little better.
Three weeks ago today I got on a plane at Liverpool John Lennon Airport to start my new life as a university student in Utrecht. If you've been here before, you probably won't need to all the information on that, if you're new here you can read all about it here. I've definitely learnt a lot… Continue reading The First Three Weeks of the Future
Between travelling and packing and late night adventures with my friends, I've not been able to update my blog as frequently as I would've liked this summer. If I were to write about everything I've done in as much detail as I usually do, and then schedule all the post in weekly intervals, I think… Continue reading The Summer of Seventeen
I don't really know how to start this post. I've been thinking over it these last few days and I feel like there are some things that I need to address. Anyone know has been following the news this last week will know that there has been an awful terrorist attack in Manchester, somewhere that… Continue reading Reflection
I've probably said this before but my daily routine hasn't changed much since I started college in 2015. As a lot is about to change in these next few years, I thought it would be interesting to document a random day in, at aged 18, as I am preparing to take my A Level exams,… Continue reading A Day in My Life
On Saturday the 17th of March 2007, my family and I spent the evening sat on the couch channel hopping until we found something to watch. I wasn't particularly interested until we came across the Dancing on Ice series two finale. Clare Buckfield was flying like an angel over the ice on a harness and little eight year old me thought it was the most magical thing I'd ever seen. According to my mum, I jumped up on the couch and screamed "I want to do that!"
We have no idea when or how we ever became friends, but I also can't remember my life without you in it. (I definitely remember times when I hated you but I also remember that I was six years old.) There's no me without you and I hope you know that. When you make friends… Continue reading Dear My Best Friend,
